FAQ's

Can we meet up before we decide on booking you?

Yes, of course! I’m more than happy to meet before you book, as its important that you click and feel comfortable with your photographer. Plus its a great way to discuss through any initial questions, the details of your day and everything you want captured.  Your wedding photography is such an important decision to make.

How many photographs will we receive?

The more there is to photograph, the more photographs you will receive, but generally, for half a day of photography you’ll receive 400+ and for a full day, 800+  but often it will be a lot more!

Can we print our photographs?

Yes, all of my packages come with printing and sharing rights, so you, your family and friends can view, share and print your photographs as you wish.

How long do you photograph for on the Wedding Day?

If booking a Full Day Package, my coverage is up to 10 hours. Its important to me that I tell the true story of your day, so this means nothing gets missed out! In the morning I usually arrive 2 hours before the ceremony time, to capture the preparations and then will stay till after the first dance to get those all important dance moves!

We always feel awkward in front of the camera, is this a problem?

Of course not! Many people feel uneasy when faced with a camera, but because I prefer to get those natural smiles and expressions more than anything else, you won’t notice I am there a lot of the time. And when it comes to group or couple photographs, Im more than happy to direct or help you relax if needed!

Do you edit the photographs?

Yes, I do. I do all of the editing myself, using both  Lightroom and Photoshop. I will choose the best from your day and subtly edit them so they all look natural and beautiful. You will receive your photographs 6-8 weeks after your wedding, though if you're lucky, it can be earlier!

We are interested in having you as our wedding photographer,

how do we book you?

If you wish to book me, I take a non- refundable booking fee/deposit of 30% to secure your wedding date. As well as this, I will send you a contract form for you to read through and sign once you are happy with all the details. The rest of the payment is then due one month before the wedding date.

When and where can we book our engagement shoot

You can book your engagement shoot anytime after booking with me and up to 6 weeks before your wedding. Where you decide to have your engagement shoot is up to you, (ideally somewhere within Dorset to avoid extra travel expenses) Though generally, its lovely to choose a place that means something to you both, however if you are stumped on ideas then I’m happy to give a few suggestions. Due to most weddings being on a Saturday, engagement shoots are usually arranged for a Monday - Thursday evening.

If we don’t want to have a complimentary engagement shoot, can we get a discount instead?

As it’s a complimentary shoot with the Full Day Package, I’m afraid I cannot offer any discounts. However, I highly recommend having one,  as It is an excellent way to get to know each other better and also help you feel more comfortable with being  in front of the camera. Plus, many couples then like to use these images as 'save the dates’.

What camera do you use?

When photographing a Wedding I shoot with two camera bodies, which are Canon 5D Mark IV. I always bring a backup camera along with  me as well as a variety of lenses with different focal lengths.

What if your equipment malfunctions on the day?

I always take backup equipment with me, just in case this happens – I have two camera bodies and a selection of professional lenses, as well as spare batteries and extra memory cards.  As well as that, my cameras also have dual card slots, which means whilst taking the photographs, I have an instant backup just in case one of my memory cards becomes corrupt. After the Wedding I backup your images on an additional hard drive aswell as online.

Do you travel for weddings?

Yes, I do travel however it does depends how far as to whether there are additional costs. If it is more than a 2 hours drive away from my home in Poole, then there is a 25p per mile charge as well as 1 nights stay in  hotel accommodation.

Are you insured?

Yes, I am insured. I have public  liability  insurance, and all of my equipment is insured too.
